Inclusive wayfinding signage for all

Mural painting by Ideas art teacher K Zarin

Graphics for wayfinding and communication

When Ideas International School moved into their new campus, they wanted their wayfinding signage and graphics to reflect their inclusive 'for all' philosophy. The goal was to make navigation intuitive to students, staff and visitors alike.

To achieve this, we implemented a cohesive colour-coding system, assigning a distinct colour to each floor. This colour was applied to signage and doors to reinforce spatial recognition. Additionally, we introduced animal icons for each level, making it easier to associate a floor with a memorable visual cue.

As a school that evolved from a charity to become a dynamic social enterprise, it was also important to communicate the vision and spirit as part of the visitor experience.
